At the time of the incident, four-year-old Satvik was playing outside his house in Mansurabad. According to police, the car was being driven by his father Laxman.

The incident was captured on CCTV cameras in the apartment building. In the video, an SUV is parked in the alley outside the apartment and Laxman heads towards the vehicle and sits inside. A few seconds later Satvik is seen running out of the gate to play with another child and standing in front of the car.
