Gold prices traded flat in India on Friday. As the rate of the yellow metal remained stable ahead of the American inflation figures. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in August traded up by Rs 41, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 46,911 per 10 grams. This was Rs 46,870 as compared to the previous session. Silver for July delivery traded at Rs 67,894 per kg, or Rs 161 per kg. Silver futures closed at Rs 67,733 per kg in the previous session. American gold futures fell 0.2 percent to 77 1,773.60 an ounce, according to Reuters.
Gold is about Rs 9000 cheaper than the highest level
Last year people invested in gold because of the Corona crisis. In August 2020, the price of 10 grams of gold on the MCX reached a high of Rs 56,191. Today, gold August futures are at Rs 46,911 per 10 grams on the MCX. That means about 10 thousand rupees is getting cheaper.
