However, the rescue operation was carried out by the fire brigade and a major mishap was averted.

During the rescue operation by the fire team, a hole was drilled in the wall to exhale the smoke from the basement. A machine was placed next to the complex with an aperture through which the smoke was expelled. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far in the incident.

According to Divya Bhaskar's report, a preliminary investigation into the accident revealed that there was a lock on the terrace of the building when the fire broke out. So the municipal commissioner has instructed to keep the doors open on the terraces of all the commercial buildings in the city. Otherwise the fire NOC of that building will be taken back.
