Budget 2022 India : Union Budget 2022, Economic Survey 2022 Updates, President Ram Nath Kovind Speech Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing reporters outside the Parliament, said tomorrow’s Budget will showcase India’s economic growth to the world.


Union Budget 2022: Lauding India’s fight against the novel coronavirus, President Ram Nath Kovind, while addressing the Budget Session of the Parliament, said: “India’s capability to fight Covid-19 was evident in its vaccination program. In less than a year, we made a record of administering over 150 crore doses of vaccine. Today, we’re one of the leading nations in the world when it comes to the number of doses given.”

Addressing the nation ahead of the Parliament’s Budget Session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while welcoming all legislators, said the session would showcase India’s economic growth to the world. “In today’s global situation, there are a lot of opportunities for India. This session instils confidence in the world regarding the country’s economic progress, vaccination program, and Made in India vaccines,” the PM added.

Budget 2022 India : The Budget session of Parliament has begun, and President Ram Nath Kovind has addressed the joint sitting of both the Houses. Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled the economic survey too, and newly appointed chief economic adviser (CEA) V Anantha Nageswaran will address a press conference at 3.45pm wherein he will discuss the survey. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till tomorrow (February 1).

Economic Survey 2022 Updates:The Budget session of Parliament is happening in the midst of the third wave of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). Apart from these, vital assembly elections of five states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab, are also starting this month. The opposition parties are expected to take up issues of farmers, Pegasus spyware and relief package for families of Covid-19 victims, among other topics, for debate.

Sitharaman will present a paperless Budget this year, continuing the tradition from last year, which was the first time the document was presented digitally. A mobile app has also been released this year for the same. The finance minister will present the Budget on February 1, and the first half of the session will continue will February 11. Then, there will be nearly a month-long recess till the second part of the Budget session starts on March 14 and concludes on April 8.

In order to ensure social distancing norms are maintained owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Rajya Sabha will sit between 10am and 3pm, while the Lok Sabha will sit from 4pm to 9pm.
