Workers trapped in other states due to the Koro crisis are returning to their home states. The biggest problem of labor is employment. A large number of laborers are returning to Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh government has now started formulating a strategy to provide employment to the workers in its area.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with Team 11 on Saturday. CM Yogi Adityanath at the meeting planned to provide safe return for laborers as well as employment in villages and towns through labor reform laws. Which will probably keep the workers of Uttar Pradesh stuck there.
At the same time, 3 million tourists from outside have been ordered to compile quick data of laborers. CM Yogi Adityanath asked the officials to prepare a roadmap with the objective of arranging 20 lakh jobs for artisans and workers coming from outside states.
As well as Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar Awasthi said that the Cabinet has decided to amend the labor law, the order will also be announced soon.
He said that the Chief Minister has asked for arrangements to provide employment to about 3 million people and artisans coming from outside in different financial sectors. He said that he would continue the dialogue with the sector where there is a chance of employment soon.
Avinash Kumar said that Rs 641 crore has been distributed in 56677 units as compared to the process of paying wages in industrial units. So far 310023 workers have been paid Rs 312 crore.
As well as CM Yogi Adityanath has told officials that the laborers are returning from other states. Ensure proper health check-ups for them and keep the medical team on duty at the centers. With the completion of quarantine, the government is arranging employment and jobs for them.
Where to find employment? The laborers will get employment in MGNREGA, MSME, ONE DISTRICT ONE PRODUCT, Vishwakarma Sanman Yojana, Women's Self Help Group, Nursery etc.
